A Glance At Vijay Deverakonda’s Brand Endorsement Trail As He Turns 35

Born on May 9, 1989, the Indian actor and film producer, Vijay Deverakonda, renowned for his role in the contemporary Telugu classic ‘Arjun Reddy’ celebrates his 35th birthday today. On this occasion, Marketing Mind has takes a look back at some of the different brands he has endorsed, including, Samsung, Cera, Thums Up, Dabur, Netflix, Zomato, Myntra, Fastrack, BREEZER Vivid Shuffle, Fire-Boltt and RWDY.

A Glance At Vijay Deverakonda's Brand Endorsement Trail As He Turns 35

Born on May 9, 1989, Indian actor and film producer, Vijay Deverakonda, became widely known for his role in the contemporary Telugu classic ‘Arjun Reddy’ and has since then starred in numerous successful films, mainly in South Indian Cinema. Alongside his acting career, he has also endorsed many brands, further establishing himself not only in the film industry but also in the world of advertising.

While he made his cinema debut with a central role in the 2011 romantic comedy ‘Nuvvil’, his Bollywood debut took place in 2022 with ‘Liger’.

Afterwards, he was featured in Kushi (2022) and Jana Gana Mana (2023). The Indian actor was last seen in The Family Star and is now set to star in Dil Raju’s SVC 59 which will be directed by Ravi Kiran Kol. Deverakonda also owns a production house called King of the Hill Entertainment. Under this, he produced the films ‘Meeku Maathrame Cheptha’ in 2019 and ‘Pushpaka Vimanam’ in 2021.

Beyond his film career, Deverakonda has his own clothing brand, RWDY, which launched on Myntra in 2020. In addition to representing his own brand as its ambassador, he has also endorsed several other brands.

RWDY

In an ad for his clothing brand “RWDY”, the actor can be seen pulling up in a black vintage car. He steps out of the car clad in all black with black sunglasses. People are dancing around, dressed in different colourful outfits. He can be seen nodding his head at one of the dancers

Samsung

In an ad for the brand, Deverakonda can be seen sitting on a couch in an ad for Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra, talking about how he’s discovered someone new, someone, who understands him while subtly hinting at the Galaxy S24 Ultra. He introduces the phone and says, “It’s my new AI phone smartphone, Galaxy S24 Ultra.” And he also talks about how it’s a new way to life that he can’t wait to explore further.

Myntra

In an ad for Myntra, Deverakond was seen changing through different outfits subtly hinting at how Myntra is the “fashion expert” and the diverse category of outfits present on the app. Furthermore, he states the benefits of the app such as “super fast” returns and refunds.

Fastrack

Fastrack roped the ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor as the brand ambassador for its “Be Both” campaign. The campaign film uses a split-screen approach to present the various realities experienced by today’s youth. Deverakonda can be seen staring at his watch, discussing how times have changed, and illustrating the different contradictions. Throughout the ad, various watches are used.

Dabur

In an ad for Dabur, the actor can be seen using Dabur’s ‘Red Bae Fresh Gel’ and when he goes to a swarm of girls and gives them a “flying kiss”, they are all impressed by how fresh his breath smells.

Thums Up

Deverakond was featured in an ad for Thums Up in 2023. In the ad, he can be seen doing an action scene for a movie and drinking Thums Up to re-energise himself during his break to get ready for his next action scene.

Breezer Vivid Shuffle

Deverakonda was roped in as the ambassador for Breezer Vivid Shuffle in 2022 alongside actress Kriti Sanon for its sixth season.

Fire-Boltt

In 2022, the homegrown wearable and audio brand, Fire-Boltt appointed Deverakonda as its brand ambassador. In their #MyTimeIsNow ad, he can be seen talking about “his time”. In the ad, he explores how his time is silence, keeping him grounded, his time is abstract, calming his “chaos.”

Zomato

In Zomato’s ‘On time or free’ ad, Deverakonda was seen losing his temper as he wishes that his Zomato delivery partner were late so that he could get free food.

CERA

Deverakonda appeared in CERA’s #PlayItYourWay ad alongside actress Kiara Advani. The ad featured them admiring the brand’s sanitaryware for its aesthetics and feel. Towards the end, they can be seen dancing and then talking about CERA’s “Versatile” range.

Apart from these brands, he has also endorsed other brands such as Ajio, Lux Cozi, Shyam Steel, Sunfeast, Charged by ThumsUp, Moj and more.
