upGrad has appointed Mukesh Mundra as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), reinforcing its leadership team as the company continues to expand its global skilling and workforce development business.
Based in Mumbai, Mundra will oversee the company’s Finance and Administration functions, with a focus on financial strategy, governance, business partnering and building scalable operations to support upGrad’s next phase of growth.
He joins the company with more than 26 years of experience across media, telecom, manufacturing and consumer businesses. A Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Mundra most recently served as Head of Finance at JioStar. Before that, he spent over eight years as CFO at Viacom18, where he led financial strategy and transformation initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Mundra held leadership roles at Idea Cellular, contributing to key strategic developments including the acquisition of Spice Communications and the formation of the Indus Towers joint venture. He has also worked with Grasim Industries and Anand Rathi Group.
