The Indian Express Digital has appointed Deepshikha Ghosh as its Chief Content Officer. Ghosh joins the organisation with extensive experience in digital news, having consistently operated at the forefront of the industry’s rapid evolution.
The appointment was announced by Nandagopal Rajan, Chief Operating Officer of The Indian Express Digital, via LinkedIn.
She was previously associated with NDTV as a Managing Editor. Known for her strong understanding of audience behaviour, content strategy and newsroom transformation, she is expected to play a key role in shaping the The Indian Express’ editorial direction.
In her new role, she will lead content strategy for the digital business, steering the organisation through a pivotal phase marked by continued focus on high-impact journalism, including agenda-setting investigations and exclusives.
Her appointment comes at a time when the news ecosystem is undergoing significant shifts, driven by AI disruption, search volatility, platform changes and growing instances of news avoidance, making strategic content leadership increasingly critical.
