Technological advancements are the biggest achievement of the human race. Over the past centuries, humans have evolved beautifully and have even ensured that future generations only add to the development.
While there have been many inventions and eureka moments in the past, Space travel has surely got each one of us excited. To take things forward, there have been many companies who are planning to make this dream come true sooner than decided.
Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin have been competing in the sector and have made many successful attempts as well. However, there is one company that is taking the whole space tourism thing to a whole new level.
Space Perspective, a Florida-based company, is planning to send paying customers, as well as research payloads, to the stratosphere aboard its “Spaceship Neptune.”
The Spaceship Neptune is a pressurized capsule that will cruise high above Earth beneath an enormous balloon. With the help of a large hydrogen-powered balloon, it rises slowly at 12 mph.
Space Perspective has recently released illustrations of the interior of Spaceship Neptune. The capsule is set to include 360-degree panoramic windows and even a restroom with a view.
The ascend will be slow and picturesque rather than a quick shot to the space and back down. The passengers will be able to enjoy the sunrise on the way up. Passengers will glide at the edge of space above 99 percent of the Earth’s atmosphere.
Overall, the passengers will have two hours to enjoy the view of our planet’s curve, along with the darkness of space and the mesmerizing blue outline of our atmosphere.
While the first commercial flights are expected to begin in late 2024, the tickets for the entire year are already sold out. All the interested passengers can book a flight with Space Perspective for a whopping price of $125,000 per person.
