Shoppers Stop has elevated Biju Kassim as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Global SS Beauty Brands (GSSBB).
The company has strengthened its leadership structure for its beauty business through this appointment. Kassim has previously led the launch of GSSBB, a wholly owned subsidiary focused on the distribution of global beauty brands in India.
GSSBB has expanded its presence in the premium and luxury beauty segment and has partnered with international brands across fragrances, skincare, and cosmetics. Its portfolio has included brands associated with L’Oréal’s international division, along with labels such as Maison Margiela, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Azzaro, Clarins and NARS.
The move has aligned with the company’s focus on scaling its beauty vertical and strengthening its distribution capabilities in the premium segment.
“Biju brings a wealth of experience in the beauty industry, along with a strong understanding of the premium and luxury segments. His appointment will provide strategic direction as we continue to strengthen our beauty portfolio and scale Global SS Beauty Brands. We are confident that his leadership will add significant value and drive the business to the next phase of growth.” — Nirvik Singh, Chairman, Shoppers Stop.
“I am excited to take on this new responsibility at a time when the premium beauty landscape in India is evolving rapidly. Global SS Beauty Brands is a key strategic pillar for Shoppers Stop as we continue to build a future ready beauty ecosystem.
Our focus will be on further elevating our portfolio of global brands, enhancing consumer experiences, and driving meaningful growth across markets. We remain committed to bringing the best of global beauty to Indian consumers while building deeper relevance and engagement in this dynamic market.” — Biju Kassim
