Razorpay has elevated Apuarv Sethi to the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), expanding his mandate to lead the company’s marketing and SME business growth strategy across India and Southeast Asia.
In his new role, Sethi will oversee Razorpay’s broader go-to-market strategy, ecosystem initiatives, revenue acceleration and growth frameworks across geographies and product lines, with a strong emphasis on AI-led marketing innovation and customer engagement.
He will focus on building AI-powered marketing capabilities aimed at improving customer experiences, predictive engagement and long-term brand trust across domestic and international markets.
Sethi joined Razorpay as Vice President of Marketing in April 2021 and most recently served as Senior Vice President – Marketing. During his tenure, he led the company’s brand strategy, product marketing, performance marketing, communications and customer engagement initiatives, while also driving growth across key SME-focused business segments.
He also spearheaded several campaigns for the fintech company, including “Backing India’s Boldest”, “#ImaginedThroughAI” and “Get Paid, Not Played”, helping sharpen Razorpay’s positioning through insight-led and culturally relevant storytelling.
With nearly two decades of experience, Sethi has worked across sectors including fintech, SaaS, ecommerce and education. Before joining Razorpay, he held leadership roles at Flipkart, Mindtree and Manipal Global Education Services, where he worked across brand strategy, monetisation, growth and go-to-market functions.
