Ram Raghavan has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Colgate-Palmolive. In his new role, he has taken responsibility for leading the company’s global marketing function, strengthening its portfolio of brands, and advancing marketing initiatives aligned with the company’s strategic growth objectives.
The appointment has come to light through an update shared by Raghavan on LinkedIn.
Prior to taking over as Chief Marketing Officer, Raghavan has served as President – Enterprise Oral Care at Colgate-Palmolive from May 2022 to June 2026, based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Before that, he was Managing Director – Colgate-Palmolive India from August 2019 to April 2022, leading the company’s India operations from Mumbai. Earlier, he held the position of Vice President Marketing – Asia Pacific between January 2017 and July 2019.
His international leadership experience has also included serving as General Manager – Latin America Category Innovation Center from January 2013 to December 2016 in Mexico City. Prior to that, he was Marketing Director – Colgate-Palmolive China from January 2010 to December 2012 and Vice President Marketing – Colgate-Palmolive Canada from February 2008 to December 2009.
Raghavan’s earlier tenure within the company included a series of marketing leadership roles in China and Asia Pacific. He served as Associate Marketing Director (Toothpaste) – Colgate-Palmolive China from April 2006 to February 2008 and Associate Marketing Director (Toothbrushes) – Colgate-Palmolive China from May 2004 to March 2006. Before moving to China, he was Senior Brand Manager – Colgate-Palmolive Asia Pacific Division from January 2003 to May 2004.
He began his leadership journey in India, serving as Senior Brand Manager – Colgate-Palmolive India from January 2001 to December 2002 and Brand Manager from August 1999 to December 2000 in Mumbai. Earlier, he worked as Associate District Manager from May 1998 to July 1999 in Lucknow and started his career at the company as a Management Trainee in June 1997 in Bhandara.
