Travel-tech platform Pickyourtrail has appointed Janani Kandaswamy as Head of Marketing, as it has sharpened its focus on building a brand-led growth strategy in the travel category.
In her new role, Kandaswamy has taken on the responsibility of strengthening the company’s positioning in customised international holidays while expanding its presence across adjacent and emerging segments.
She has brought over 15 years of experience across FMCG, stationery, appliances, automobile and telecom sectors. Prior to this, she has held leadership roles at Versuni India and ITC, where she has worked on brands such as Preethi, Classmate and Mangaldeep, focusing on digital-led growth and consumer journey development.
Founded by Hari Ganapathy, Pickyourtrail has focused on customised international travel experiences and has seen growth driven by increasing demand for personalised travel among Indian consumers.
The company has also expanded its offerings with Fluid, a digital platform aimed at simplifying corporate travel by automating booking processes, managing travel spend and reducing decision-making time.
The appointment has come at a time when Indian travellers have increasingly preferred curated and premium travel experiences with seamless planning support. Pickyourtrail has aimed to strengthen its position across international and domestic travel segments while expanding into adjacent travel categories.
“Travel is one of the most emotionally charged yet cognitively complex categories for consumers. The next phase of growth will belong to brands that can combine deep personalisation with simplicity, and storytelling with seamless execution. Pickyourtrail has already built a strong foundation here, and I’m excited to scale this into a brand that not only organises trips but also shapes how people experience the world.” — Janani Kandaswamy
“At Pickyourtrail, we’ve built a strong product-market fit over the years. The next step is to translate that into a distinctive, enduring brand. With Janani coming on board we’re doubling down on building the most loved travel and experience brand. She will sharpen our brand narrative with deep consumer insights and disciplined execution that will accelerate growth across markets and categories” — Hari Ganapathy, Co-founder and CEO, Pickyourtrail
