OpenAI Names Colin Fleming As Chief Marketing Officer, Business

Colin Fleming joins OpenAI as Chief Marketing Officer, Business, after serving as EVP and CMO at ServiceNow from May 2024 to May 2026. Earlier, he spent over 13 years at Salesforce across multiple leadership roles between June 2011 and May 2024, and previously worked with eSoles and Red Bull.

OpenAI Names Colin Fleming As Chief Marketing Officer, Business

OpenAI has appointed Colin Fleming as Chief Marketing Officer, Business, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues expanding its enterprise and commercial offerings globally.

Fleming announced the new role via his LinkedIn.

Fleming joins OpenAI from ServiceNow, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer from May 2024 to May 2026. Prior to that, he spent more than 13 years at Salesforce, holding several senior leadership positions across global marketing, brand, product, content, customer, and industry marketing functions.

At Salesforce, Fleming served as Executive Vice President, Global Marketing from February 2022 to May 2024; Senior Vice President – Global Brand, Events, Product, Content, & Customer Marketing from March 2021 to February 2022; Senior Vice President and Chief Brand Officer from March 2017 to April 2021; Vice President, Head of Industry Marketing from November 2015 to March 2017; Senior Director, Product Marketing from June 2012 to November 2015; and Director of Product Marketing from June 2011 to June 2012.

Before Salesforce, Fleming was Head of Marketing and Partner at eSoles from April 2007 to June 2011. Earlier in his career, he was a professional racing driver associated with Red Bull from January 2001 to December 2006.
