NODWIN Gaming has partnered with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) to manage media rights sales across South Asia, including India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and nearby regions.
As part of the partnership, NODWIN Gaming will support EWCF with media rights sales and distribution strategies for the Esports World Cup (EWC) in South Asia. It will also serve as the EWCF’s marketing partner in India, helping to conceptualize and execute local campaigns aligned with the Foundation’s goals.
The EWCF is a nonprofit organization behind the Esports World Cup, a multi-title esports competition. The 2024 edition featured 1,500 players and 200 clubs from over 100 countries, competing across 21 titles for a $60 million prize pool. The event recorded 500 million online viewers and 2.6 million in-person attendees.
NODWIN Gaming has prior experience in managing media rights for esports and entertainment content. Its key property, the Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS), is the only Indian esports tournament broadcast on national television, airing on Star Sports for three consecutive years. The company has also worked on projects such as eISL (with Football Sports Development Limited), VALORANT Challengers South Asia (with Riot Games), Mountain Dew Arena (with ESL India), and the Kingfisher India Premiership.
The EWCF focuses on the long-term development of esports by supporting players, fans, and businesses, and reinvesting in industry-related initiatives.
Through this partnership, the EWCF expands its global footprint while using NODWIN Gaming’s experience in esports content and distribution across South Asia.
Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, said, “The Esports World Cup is an important step for global esports, and we’re glad to support its reach in South Asia. This partnership is aimed at making esports content more accessible and connecting regional audiences with global events.”
Mike McCabe, COO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, added, “South Asia is a fast-growing gaming market, and NODWIN Gaming brings strong local expertise to the table. This partnership helps us expand the reach of the Esports World Cup and reflects our focus on regional collaboration and accessibility.”
