Women’s Day is always a great opportunity for brands to connect with their target audience. This year, several brands came up with some fresh strategies for marketing and advertising their products. We shared the best video ad campaigns on Women’s Day 2019 and a list of best social media posts that won hearts.
To attract audience and make a statement, Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee took to social media to send out a Women’s Day wish. He collaborated with a plus-size model to send out a message of ‘self-confidence’ and shared two photographs with caption that read, “This International Women’s Day, celebrate confidence.” Below you can see the images:

As soon as these were posted, the images went viral and received mixed opinions. Many criticised the designer for choosing to talk about ‘self-confidence’ only on Women’s Day. Some considered it as a marketing gimmick, others said that the designer just needed an occasion to post the picture.
