For all the people looking for their dream job, it is not very easy to land one. It takes a lot of searching and rounds of interviews to even get considered for the position. Even then it is like walking on thin ice, one wrong answer and all efforts are in vain.
Not to make the whole interview thing such a scary topic, people find ways to make a job hunt as fun as possible. And honestly, it is the ones who are at ease that have the highest chances of getting selected.
With the era of online applications, people have started giving a lot of thought to their resumes. People find creative ways to design their CVs that would get the interviewer’s attention right away. Even after all this, it can take a lot more effort.
So people have gone extreme with the job applications. There have been people who took up an entire billboard to display their profile making them headlines of many newspapers.
Recently, Jonathan Swift saw an opening for a position within the marketing department of Yorkshire-based printing specialists, Instantprint and decided to get creative with his application.
Jonathan decided to make a lasting impression by recycling the company’s own flyers in a genius marketing stunt. He put these in the company car park – as he placed a flyer advertising his LinkedIn profile on every single car.
Marketing Manager Craig Wassell, who was doing the hiring for the position, noticed Jonathan’s antics on CCTV. After being really impressed by Jonathan’s approach, he decided to invite the man in for an interview.
Here’s some CCTV footage of the #jobseeker in action! He’s been the talk of the office since covering everyone’s cars in CVs. I love it when we get a #creativejobapplication – Craig, Marketing Manager pic.twitter.com/OmE5puQgwI
