Mahindra Group has appointed Purnima Lamba as its Chief Brand Officer, effective September 1, 2026.
In her new role, Lamba will lead the group’s corporate brand and communications strategy, overseeing the development of a unified brand narrative aligned with Mahindra’s values, vision and long-term business ambitions. She will also be responsible for driving brand consistency across the conglomerate’s business verticals and strengthening its presence across traditional and digital platforms.
Lamba joins the Mahindra Group after a nearly 25-year career at Unilever, where she held leadership roles across India, the UK and the Netherlands. During her tenure, she worked on building tech-enabled beauty experiences and advancing digital media models aimed at expanding brand reach and consumer engagement globally.
Her experience spans strategic brand building, communications, consumer insight and digital transformation. Mahindra added that her leadership background and cross-market experience would support the group’s efforts to further strengthen its brand identity and cultural relevance.
Lamba holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
