LoveChild by Masaba has appointed Joel Thottan as Marketing Lead for its beauty and cosmetics portfolio. Thottan has announced the development through a LinkedIn post, where he shared that he is now leading the marketing team for the entire beauty and cosmetics portfolio at LoveChild by Masaba.
He has also thanked Masaba Gupta and Akanksha Pandey for the opportunity.
Prior to joining LoveChild by Masaba in May 2026, Thottan had worked at Nykaa for over four years between March 2022 and April 2026. Most recently, he had served as Brand Manager for Nykaa Wanderlust and Nykaa Perfumery from January 2024 to April 2026. Before this, he had worked as Associate Manager – Brand Marketing (Masterbrand) at Nykaa from March 2022 to December 2023.
Before Nykaa, Thottan had spent over six years at Terribly Tiny Tales across multiple roles. He had served as Creative Director – Brand Collaborations from April 2021 to March 2022. Between January 2018 and March 2021, he had worked as Chief Curator – App Content, where he had led digital strategy and content initiatives for the TTT app. Earlier, he had also worked as Assistant Curator from June 2016 to December 2017 and as Lead – Brand Collaborations between March 2016 and May 2016.
In October 2020, he had briefly worked as a Freelance UX Copywriter at TwineIn, handling UX copy, onboarding content and ASO strategy for the platform.
Thottan had also served as Visiting Faculty at St. Andrew’s College of Arts Commerce and Science from August 2018 to April 2019, where he had taught digital marketing and copywriting to Bachelor of Mass Media students.
Earlier in his career, he had worked as Digital Strategist at FoxyMoron from July 2015 to March 2016. Between May 2014 and December 2015, he had co-founded Weaver Films, where he had served as Director and Head Writer, leading multiple independent film projects and branded content assignments.
He had also worked as Head of Copy and Content at Daddy’s Capes from December 2014 to May 2015, overseeing multilingual content and brand communication.
