HDB Financial Services has appointed Natarajan Srinivasan as its Non-Executive Chairman and an Additional Independent Director for a three-year term beginning May 14, 2026. The decision was approved by the company’s board at its meeting held on Thursday.
Srinivasan brings over four decades of experience across finance, strategy and business transformation. A qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, he has held multiple senior leadership roles within the Murugappa Group.
He previously served as Executive Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company, where he played a key role in expanding the company’s financial services business. He also served as Managing Director and CEO of CG Power and Industrial Solutions, overseeing the company’s turnaround and strategic repositioning initiatives.
According to the filing, Srinivasan has also served on the boards of several listed and unlisted companies and is recognised for his expertise in governance, financial management and business restructuring.
The company further stated that Srinivasan is not related to any director or key managerial personnel of the company and is not barred from holding the office of director by any regulatory authority.
