Famous Innovations has appointed Senthil Kumar as Managing Partner and Chief Creative Officer, Bengaluru. In his new role, Kumar has joined the independent creative company as a partner and will oversee its creative operations while contributing to the agency’s business growth and leadership in the Bengaluru market.
The appointment has marked Kumar’s move from VML, where he had most recently served as Chief Creative Officer. The industry veteran has joined Famous Innovations after a 25-year stint across JWT, Wunderman Thompson and VML.
Kumar has spent more than two decades within the JWT network and its successor agencies. He joined JWT in 2001 as Creative Director and served in the role until January 2007. He was then elevated to Executive Creative Director, a position he held until January 2014. Subsequently, he became National Creative Director at JWT India, serving from January 2014 to January 2018. He was later appointed Chief Creative Officer at Wunderman Thompson India in January 2018 and continued in the role until October 2023. Following the agency’s transition to VML, Kumar served as Chief Creative Officer, VML India, from October 2023 until June 2026.
During his career, Kumar has worked on campaigns for brands including Nike, Levi’s, Google, Pepsi, The Times of India, Unilever, Tata and Star Sports. He has also received multiple international creative accolades, including Cannes Lions, D&AD Pencils and One Show awards.
Commenting on the appointment, Senthil Kumar, Managing Partner & CCO, Bengaluru, said, “Famous has always been a maverick — independent, fearless and built on the belief that a great idea can come from anywhere and go everywhere. I’m not here to run a creative department; I’m here to build, as a partner and an owner, and to make work that doesn’t just win in the room but moves the world outside it.”
Raj Kamble, Founder & Chief Creative Officer, Famous Innovations, added, “Senthil and I have each spent 25 years chasing the same thing — ideas that make people feel something. What excites me most is that he joins us as a partner, an entrepreneur, an owner who will build a business the way only a founder can. That hunger to build, and not just to make ads, is exactly what Famous is made of. Watch this space.”
