Delhivery has announced the elevation of Suraj Saharan to the role of Whole-time Director on its Board, effective immediately. Saharan, who previously served as the company’s Chief People Officer and co-founder, now takes on expanded responsibilities to steer Delhivery’s strategic vision and operational growth.
Saharan has previously run operations and has led the company’s entry into the full truckload segment at its inception. As Chief People Officer, he was responsible for fostering Delhivery’s high-performance culture and driving the company’s talent strategy.
Saharan brings a rich and diverse professional background to his new role. His career began at ICICI Lombard, where he worked as a Customer Service Manager from July 2005 to August 2006. Following this, he spent over five years at Bain & Company (August 2006 – August 2011) as a Consultant, working across offices in India and the United States. His consultancy experience spans multiple sectors including Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Telecom, Power, and Industrials, equipping him with broad strategic insights and a multi-industry perspective.
In 2010-2011, Saharan took a sabbatical from Bain & Company to serve as a Project Manager with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), a government initiative. In this role, he contributed to one of India’s most significant digital identity projects, reinforcing his expertise in managing large-scale, high-impact programs.
