bigbasket has appointed Amit Nanda as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking the beginning of a new phase in the company’s growth journey. Nanda joins from Amazon India, where he most recently served as Director, Selling Partner Services, overseeing one of the company’s largest businesses and its third-party marketplace ecosystem.
With more than two decades of experience across e-commerce, consumer goods and consumer banking, Nanda brings expertise in scaling customer-centric businesses. Prior to Amazon, he held leadership positions at Hindustan Unilever and Citibank.
In his new role, Nanda will lead bigbasket’s next phase of growth, with a focus on strengthening its quick commerce business, accelerating innovation across verticals, and enhancing value and convenience for consumers.
