Venke Sharma, formerly the Executive Director of Consumer Strategy and Innovation at The Walt Disney Company, has taken on a new role at Sprinklr as VP – Global Head of Product Strategy Insights.
In his new role, he will be responsible for refining the product narrative for Sprinklr Insights and improving GTM, simplifying implementation and driving adoption.
Previously, at The Walt Disney Company, he played a role in shaping content, product, and consumer experience, utilising insights gleaned from diverse data sources. His responsibilities extended to enhancing value for consumers and customers through technology and innovation.
He also spearheaded the launch of “The Distillery,” a command center harnessing various consumer and consumption data points to offer actionable insights to Star’s content, marketing, and business teams. His expertise spanned consumer strategy, digital marketing, CRM, brand protection, and crisis management for Star Sports, Star Plus, regional channels, Disney+ Hotstar, and the rest of Disney Star Network in India.
Before this role, he held the position of Senior Vice President – Network Digital Marketing and CRM at Star TV Network. He commenced his tenure with the company in 2013.
Previously he was also associated with companies like Leo Burnett Worldwide, where he worked as Executive Director and Head of Digital-Technical Advisor from January 2012 – April 2013. Sharma also handled positions like Senior Vice President and Director-India at ARC WORLDWIDE for over five years from January 2007 – January 2012.
Before that, he was the Country Head at Tribal DDB from 2003 to 2006 and General Manager for from 2000 to 2003 at Mudra Communications.
