World Chocolate Day is celebrated on 7th July every year. This day gives chocolate lovers a chance to appreciate and enjoy this world favorite ingredient. While there are a host of chocolate brands available in the world, right from luxury chocolates to chocolate coated wafers, this versatile ingredient is used by many in a variety of ways.
Indians too love chocolates since time immemorial, and this is visible with the sheer variety of chocolate brands available in the country.

Here are a few brands and their campaigns that have regaled us since long, and are still going strong.

1. Cadbury

If there’s one brand that is almost synonymous with chocolate in India since long, it is Cadbury. From their ‘Asli Swaad Zindagi Ka’ campaign to their ‘ Kuch Accha Ho Jaye, Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye’, Cadbury ads have come a long way and how!

Every ad is a delightful watch that makes us reach out for the nearest Cadbury Dairy Milk bar.

2. KitKat

The brand introduced a unique way of having a chocolate wafer then. With precise instructions, KitKat made a unique place for itself in the minds of the Indian consumer, asking them to ‘Have A Break, Have A Kitkat’.

Keeping the central them of having a break, KitKat also revised its communication with a new tagline- ‘Life Hai, KitKat Break Banta Hai’, that still resonates with the audiences.

3. Snickers

Ads from the Snickers camp revolve around the concept of ‘Hunger’. Exploring various aspects of hunger like hunger at a particular time, how hunger changes a person, to their recent -you are not you, when you are hungry, all their ads capture the various facets of hunger in a comical manner.

4. Perk

Perk ads are pure nostalgia. How can one forget the dimpled Preity Zinta mischievously sneaking Perk wafer bars while participating in a hunger strike?

And in recent times, ads from the brand feature Ali Bhatt in a light and fun avatar.

5. 5 Star

Iconic Indian brothers Ramesh and Suresh took the ad world by storm with funny 5Star ads.

Latest ad campaigns from brand 5Star focusses on its tagline- Eat 5Star, Do Nothing

6. Ferrero Rocher

Ferrer Rocher ads convey the luxurious side of the chocolate, serving as the perfect gift for occasions like Diwali and Valentine’s Day, in India.

7. Munch

From Rani Mukherjee to Sushant Singh Rajput to Samantha and Ishaan Khattar, ads by Munch have always served some delightful moments, some highlighting product ingredients while some just asking us to have fun.
