Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) has made several acquisitions, especially in the past three years. Be it media and education, retail, telecom or even internet services, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance is leaving no stone unturned in expanding its portfolio and boosting its product offerings.

Let’s take a look at some brands, that we never thought, have been acquired and are being managed by Reliance today.

1. Mandarin Oriental, New York

Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Limited bought a 73.37% stake in Mandarin Oriental New York. It is a luxury hotel now majorly held by Reliance Industrial Investments and Holdings Limited (RIIHL), which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RIL.
