New Year’s Eve saw a fun banter on Twitter between two food delivery platform CEOs of the country- Deepinder Goyal of Zomato and Sriharsha Majety of Swiggy. And people seemed to have enjoyed their conversation on social media.
Due to the rising cases of the Omicron virus in the country, a vast number of people decided to stay at home to bring in the new year. And Deepinder Goyal took to Twitter to share updates around orders being placed on Zomato on 31st December 2021. He informed his followers about orders on Zomato reaching 2.5 million in a single day, for the first time. He also shared various other statistics and tidbits like what people ordered that day, how did they tip the delivery associates, the success rates of various payment methods etc.
While Deepender is known to be Twitter-active, Sriharsha Majety on the other hand is quite the bit recluse when it comes to using social media. But this time, he decided to use his social media handle to update his followers too.
Planning on getting out of my comfort zone ( my Twitter cave ) too today to share NYE tidbits on Swiggy 😀 https://t.co/iOPI2yZ5rK pic.twitter.com/1bS2wimSdC

To this, Majety replied that it wasn’t a fair competition as he was just learning the ropes.
Hahaha this isn’t a fair competition. I’m just learning the ropes

To which, Deepinder Goyal had the best reply, cheering Majety.
You will do amazing! Come on, let’s do this.
