The craze for OTT platforms has increased over time. Especially with the emergence of the pandemic, a majority of the population of the world turned their interest towards the various OTT platforms available.

Looking at which, these platforms have up the game in terms of entertainment. There have been many new entrants on online platforms that have made more business than any mainstream production houses.

Platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime have been leading the industry today. For Netflix, it has been particularly a successful year with Money Heist becoming the most loved series.

Currently, the internet has all been about the new Netflix Series ‘Squid Game‘. The Korean show has broken all said records and has become the most-watched show in over 90 countries.

For those who have not yet watched the show, it is about a bunch of people competing in an escape room kind of situation where the winner gets to take home billions of dollars while the losers pay with their lives.

Apart from being an entertaining show, there are some things that you can learn from ‘Squid Game’. Spoilers ahead!

1. Spend Your Money Wisely

Lee Jung-Jae plays the protagonist in the show, Seong Gi-hun. His character has been shown as someone who loses all his money on betting and alcohol. He later ends up in a desperate situation where he finds himself competing in the game show. If only he would have spent his money wisely he wouldn’t have had to go through the troubles that he did and pay the ultimate price in the end.

2. Saving money Is Important

Seong Gi-hun of ‘Squid Game’ is an abrupt spender. He is someone who never learns from his previous mistakes and ends up spending all his money on horses and whatnot. However, his characters teach you to ensure that you not only spend wisely but also save as much as you can. If not for yourself, then at least for the people you love.

3. Gambling Is Always A risky business

Those who have watched the show know that horse betting was not the only gamble the character does. He has a tendency to bet on everything and anything. And in that process, he loses what he already has. Greed is what makes a man go crazy.

4. Pay Off Your Debts

Taking a loan is not a problem, it is when you refuse to pay back to your creditors that you get into real trouble. Cho Sang-woo was shown as someone who had a promising future from the start. However, his tendency to take loans and inability to pay them back got him a stew he could never get out of.

5. Don’t put your eggs in one basket

However helpless Cho Sang-woo’s character might have been shown, he had a great sense of playing the game from the start. He ensured to have as many possibilities to win the game as possible. For this, he was ready to sacrifice his childhood friend on the way.
