Anand Mahindra Shares Most Valuable Skill In Business With A Viral Dog Video

Anand Mahindra’s social media posts are always interesting. With motivating messages to thought-provoking ideas or even his personal opinions, he manages to grab attention via his posts. And this time a funny video has caught his eye. The video in question is that of a dog teaching us a valuable lesson.

In the video, a dog standing in front of a glass window waits for it to open, not realizing that there is no glass at all. The frame of the door is without a glass and the dog can easily pass through, but doesn’t so, out of habit. It stays behind and keeps hitting the supposed non-present glass door with its paw. This shows how the dog in spite of been given access to the garden, is stuck with the idea of someone else opening the door for him. And only when the owner opens the door, is when the dog runs out in the garden. This shows how habitual conditioning can trick the human mind into believing something that may not be the case.

Sometimes the only thing stopping you from progress is your attachment to a previous conceptual frameworkpic.twitter.com/hYMRkm57Bg

Anand Mahindra has taken to explain a very important skill needed in today’s times via this video. And that is of breaking free. He responded to the video with the following

No better way of illustrating our addiction to habit…The most valuable skill in business today is knowing how to break free… https://t.co/HQ7cmgxtyp

Netizens too have agreed with Anand Mahindra, and many of them have replied to his tweet garnering supportive responses. It has managed to get some witty and interesting remarks too.

Indeed it is. Habit conditions your mind. Focus on your activity to improve result.
I would love to see someone showing me similar habit of mine.
That's why we need "Guru" or "Mentor"

Very true …like how we keep swiping at any lighted screen in front of us… even though it is not a 'Touch Screen' 😆

— Dr Charuhas (@charuhasmujumd1) October 12, 2021

With more than 1 million views, the video was first posted and shared by Clayton Cubitt and 66-year old Anand Mahindra re-tweeted it to give us the important message of not getting stuck in a situation due to habitual conditioning.
