Dunzo’s Recent Ad Campaign Recreates Shah Rukh Khan’s Iconic ‘Chak De India’ Scene

| Published on September 18, 2021

Online delivery apps have become pretty competitive these days. To prove that they have the best to offer, some brands offer the best deals and discounts, others claim to offer the fastest delivery.

Bengaluru-based delivery service company Dunzo has recently announced delivery service Dunzo Daily where they deliver in just 19 mins. To announce this, the brand has launched a pretty interesting video campaign.

Starring actor Sunil Grover, the ad shows how a couple is waiting for their parents to come home for dinner. But as they realize that they just have 20 mins till they arrive and no vegetables at home, Grover delivers the iconic ‘Chak De India‘ monologue of Shah Rukh Khan.

Grover’s epic dialogue delivery does remind us of the scene from the movie proving just how great of an actor he truly is. The ad does give a fun humorous twist to an otherwise very dramatic scene.

With this 43-second video advertisement, the brand is promising its customers fresh grocery products in just 19 mins. The brand delivers groceries, fruits, and vegetables, and meat, and fish.

This is not the first time that Dunzo has delivered a rib-tickling fun-to-watch video campaign. The brand had earlier launched an ad starring Sunny Deol recreating his iconic ‘Tareekh Pe Tareekh’ scene.

Dunzo also has recently teamed up with online streaming platforms ZEE5 for the upcoming project ‘Helmet’ and with ALTBalaji for its ‘Cartel’ web series. The ads for both series were aligned perfectly with the brand’s fun and lively approach to marketing.

Online Grocery delivery company Grofers recently made news with an offer to deliver in 10 mins. While the tweet by Grofers CEO was about the 10 min delivery goal got heavily criticized on social media, the company clarified later that they do not push their delivery partners to drive fast.

The tweet, however, has encouraged other brands to speed up their delivery service it seems.
