The only Indian in the list of the top 10 leaders in the world, Aadar Poonawalla ranks 10th on the same. The list is topped by New Zealand Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern and includes mRNA pioneers; Paypal CEO Daniel H Schulman, NBA Rescuers and quite a few other notable personalities.

1) Jacinda Ardern
Today, the citizens of New Zealand are covid-free owing to the protocols that their Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern undertook which involved curtailing any measure that would otherwise lead to an outbreak. The way she leads the health department is admirable and Fortune lauds on her leadership, thus placing her on the first position.
2) mRNA Pioneers
The mRNA Pioneers made it to the list at the second position because these companies are the ones who have helped to produce the most current vaccines because of their discovery in understanding that mRNA can be modified to gain health benefits. This discovery allowed the production of the vaccines which will help reduce the widespread of the covid-19 pandemic.
3) Daniel H Schulman
An American businessman and Chief Executive Officer of PayPal, he revolutionized the pay structure of the employees at PayPal. It was his decision that all workers should be given a 20% of net disposable income and devised a structure which he further went and implemented. This has made him rank on the 3rd position of the list of Top Global Leaders.
4) Dr. John Nkengasong
The Director of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), he is responsible for tackling the covid-19 disease in Africa. He has served people in the country of Africa for 30 years and continues to do so with much vigour.
5) NBA Rescuers
The National Basketball Association was suspended with the onset of the pandemic in March 2020 when a few officials tested positive. NBA commissioner Adam Silver; Chris Paul, a longtime star point guard, Michele Roberts, executive director of the NBPA and the president of the NBPA decided to restart the season again, keeping in mind all protocols to be followed and measures to be adopted. Fortune has ranked them 5th on the list following their success in doing so.
6) Jessica Tan
For her brilliant efforts in the Chinese finance insurance which gave citizens access to verified health advice in the pandemic, she has been placed 6th on the list by Fortune. She created a telehealth app that bought all doctors on a single platform for consultation services which revolutionised the medium of inquiries in such a burgeoning phase of the pandemic.
7) Justin Welby
Justin is the 105 Archbishop of Canterbury and the most senior bishop in the Church of England. However, his role is not just limited to that. He supports a lot many global causes which affect society and need-of-the-hour issues such as climate change.
8) Stacey Abrams
A politician who lost the electoral poll in 2018, she started her own organisation Fair Fight Action which helps to address voter suppression issues. Believed to be a strong politician without an office, she is also a novelist and is widely expected to run for governor again in 2022.
9) Reshorna Fitzpatrick
The founder of the Proceeding Word Church in Chicago, Illinois, she brought about a revolutionary change in the lives of the people during the pandemic with her food delivery mission for hungry people. This has led to her being placed 9th on Fortune’s List today.
10) Adar Poonawalla
CEO of Serum Institute of India, the largest vaccine manufacturer in the world, he has performed a crucial role in sending out vaccines to major parts of the world. SII is also known to deliver low-cost vaccines for multiple diseases such as influenza, measles and tetanus. In the coming year, SII will assist in delivering 2 billion vaccine doses to middle-income countries. This has led the CEO of the Institute to be ranked as the 10th position by Fortune.
