Most of the youngsters in India don’t get a good job due to lack of industrial training that can teach them practical aspects of their respective professions. Swapnil Kamat has tried to solve this issue through his startup called ‘Work Better’ where youngsters are given teachings about the corporate world. These are helpful for companies as well because they are getting trained workers for the jobs. Some of the big names in their client list are:- Sony India, Trident Hotels, Tata communications, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Petroleum, and Philips.
3. Threesixtyone Degrees
The founders of this startup didn’t have business backgrounds but they wanted to do something valuable. This thinking led them to launch a design company named Threesixtyone Degrees. Both partners are graduates from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (Anirban from Kolkata, Rajesh from Delhi) and met first time at Pantaloons where they came to do a job. They launched their startup at the Lakme India Fashion Week in 2009 and received a huge amount of love from the fashion lovers.
4. Zao Foods
In this fast world, everyone is in a rush and tends to forget about the most important thing in life which is health. Mitali Kalra who has done her MBA in finance from INSEAD in France wanted to provide healthy and tasty food to the people of Delhi. So, she left her banking job and invested Rs 14 lakh in her startup which was registered as Zao Foods Private Limited. Soon her hard work started getting the good response and now she is earning more than the job she used to do.
5. Under the Mango Tree
Under the Mango Tree is a startup that sells quality honey. The business idea of this company is very simple. The honey from different sources is tested, certified and packaged in a plant which is on rent in the industrial areas of Mumbai. The packaged honey is sold online across the country and offline to the public of Mumbai and Banglore. The very famous Taj Hotels is one of their clients.
