India Will Get It’s First Counter Strike Tournament On Television This Month!

The ESL India Premiership will host three competitive games — Clash Royale, DOTA 2 and Counter Strike.This is first time ever that these games would be shown live on air! There will also be a Rs 65 lakh prize for winners.

These kind of competitive gaming is not quite popular in India in comparison to other parts in the world.

The Esports industry made revenues of $892 million (Rs. 5,700 crore) in 2016 by these kind of games. There’s also a lot of money due to such games for the gamers. Saahil “UNIVeRsE” Arora, a US-based professional DOTA 2 player has made nearly 2 million dollars (Rs. 13 crore) in tournament winnings.

Esports have made their mark over the years and got popular among masses due to such games. They have also made successful entry in the television as not all sports do make it live competition arrive on television. Twitch, which is a service designed primarily to let people stream themselves playing games live, was acquired by Amazon for nearly a billion dollars in cash in 2014.

Counter Strike is quite popular among masses and with a winning amount it’s going to attract more people attention and participation. With India developing each day people are getting more interested in new innovations and this will surely attract all those huge number of game lovers who would love to try their hand.
