The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited bids for the title sponsorship rights for its domestic and international home events as the current agreement with IDFC FIRST Bank has neared the end of its tenure. The board has issued an Invitation to Tender (ITT), inviting eligible entities to participate in a competitive bidding process. The ITT document has been made available for a non-refundable fee of Rs 1 lakh plus applicable GST. Interested parties have been able to purchase the document until August 4, while the deadline for seeking clarifications has been set as August 5.
As per media reports, bid documents have been required to be submitted by August 13. The BCCI has stated that the tender document, containing the eligibility criteria and terms governing the bidding process, has been shared only after confirmation of payment of the ITT fee. It has also clarified that purchasing the ITT has not automatically entitled an entity to participate in the bidding process, and only those meeting the eligibility criteria specified in the tender document have been allowed to submit bids.
The successful bidder has acquired the title sponsorship rights for BCCI events, including home international matches involving the Indian men’s and women’s teams, domestic tournaments such as the Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy and Irani Cup, as well as age-group competitions.
The current title sponsorship rights have been held by IDFC FIRST Bank, which secured the deal in September 2023 and has remained the title sponsor until August 2026. Apollo Tyres has continued to serve as the official lead sponsor and jersey sponsor for Team India.
The BCCI has reserved the right to cancel or amend the tender process at any stage without assigning any reason.
Separately, the BCCI has also invited bids for the associate partner rights for its events through a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ document has been made available for a non-refundable fee of Rs 1 lakh plus applicable GST. Interested parties have been able to purchase the RFQ until August 14, seek clarifications until August 16, and submit quotation documents by August 25.
The board has stated that the RFQ, containing the eligibility criteria and detailed terms governing the bidding process, has been shared only after confirmation of payment of the RFQ fee. The successful bidder has acquired the associate partner rights for BCCI events, including home international matches involving the Indian men’s and women’s teams, domestic competitions and age-group tournaments.
