Sources close to the development confirmed this to Marketing Mind. The mandate has been estimated at around Rs 300 crore, as per reports. The account has covered media planning and buying responsibilities across Samsung India’s product portfolio, including smartphones, consumer electronics and appliances.
The development has ended IPG-owned Lodestar UM’s association with Samsung India after more than a decade. Cheil India has already been handling retail, outdoor and digital responsibilities for the brand, while Lodestar had managed traditional media duties including television, print and radio.
The new structure has consolidated Samsung India’s media responsibilities under a single agency framework.
The mandate win has significantly expanded Cheil India’s role within Samsung India’s operations and strengthened its position in the media agency landscape.
