Classic Marble Company (CMC) has appointed Manit Shah as its Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), as the surface solutions company looks to accelerate global expansion and strengthen its long-term growth roadmap.
Representing the next generation of leadership at CMC, Shah will oversee the company’s global market development strategy with a focus on expanding international presence, improving domestic market access and identifying strategic growth opportunities. His mandate also includes strengthening distribution networks and expanding engagement with the architecture, interiors and design community.
As part of the role, Shah is leading initiatives to establish strategic stock points across key markets while also integrating technology and AI-led solutions into operations. These include RFID-enabled product tracking systems and virtual gallery tours aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, traceability and customer experience. He is also evaluating potential mergers and acquisitions in India and overseas as part of CMC’s broader expansion plans.
Shah began his journey at CMC through the company’s Centre of Excellence programme, which offers cross-functional exposure across business operations. An alumnus of the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, he studied business administration with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship.
In addition to growth and market strategy, Shah will also spearhead the company’s sustainability initiatives. CMC said it is working towards reducing carbon emissions through measures such as electric machinery adoption, solar-powered operations and water recycling systems. The company is also researching alternative materials including bio-resins.
Shah will continue to oversee the growth strategy for KalingaStone, CMC’s engineered marble brand, across domestic and international markets.
Commenting on the appointment Amit Shah, Founder and Managing Director, Classic Marble Company, said, “CMC is at an important inflection point as we continue to expand our global footprint and strengthen our position as a design-led surfaces brand. Manit’s appointment reflects our focus on building long-term strategic capability within the organisation. He will play a key role in shaping our growth roadmap, strengthening market access, and advancing our efforts towards a more sustainable and future-ready business.”
Mohanraj Jagannivasan, CEO, Classic Marble Company, said, “Developing next-generation leadership is a key priority for us at CMC. Manit’s journey within the organisation reflects a deep understanding of the business and a strong strategic perspective, built through hands-on experience across functions. As we scale globally, with exports set to grow significantly across key markets like the GCC, Africa, the U.S., and the far East, his role will be critical in strengthening our market access and driving this next phase of growth.”
