Milind Soman Joins Tasty Nibbles As Brand Ambassador Amid Expansion Push

Tasty Nibbles has appointed Milind Soman as its brand ambassador as the company looks to accelerate its pan-India expansion with a strategic focus on canned tuna and health-focused convenience foods.

The announcement marks a significant step in the brand’s growth plans as it looks to strengthen its presence in India’s evolving protein and wellness-focused food market. Through the partnership, Tasty Nibbles aims to position canned tuna as an accessible, everyday protein option for Indian consumers, moving the category beyond its current niche status.

The company said India’s low per capita tuna consumption presents a large untapped opportunity, particularly as urban consumers increasingly seek healthier, protein-rich, and ready-to-eat food options.

The move also reflects a broader shift within India’s packaged food industry, where brands are increasingly focusing on functional nutrition, high-protein diets, and convenience-led consumption habits, especially among younger urban consumers and fitness-conscious audiences. Celebrity-led wellness positioning has also become a growing strategy for food and FMCG brands looking to build credibility in the health category.

By bringing Milind Soman on board, Tasty Nibbles appears to be aligning itself with the larger wellness and active lifestyle conversation while attempting to build awareness around tuna as a mainstream protein source in Indian households.

Speaking at the announcement event in New Delhi, Cherian Kurian, Managing Director, Tasty Nibbles, said “At Tasty Nibbles, we have always believed that the future of food lies at the intersection of health, convenience, and trust. With Milind Soman coming on board, we are taking a significant step towards making tuna a part of everyday Indian diets. India is still at a very early stage in tuna consumption, and this presents a massive opportunity for us to introduce a clean, high-quality protein option to millions of households.”

Milind Soman, known for his association with fitness, wellness, and healthy living, said “I have always believed that good health starts with what we eat every day. Tuna is one of the simplest and most effective sources of lean protein, and what I like about Tasty Nibbles is how they make it accessible, convenient, and easy to include in daily meals. I’m excited to be part of a journey that encourages people to make smarter, healthier food choices.”
