The Ministry of Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Netflix Entertainment Services India LLP to promote India’s cultural and experiential diversity through visual storytelling.
The collaboration aims to use digital content and storytelling formats to showcase different aspects of India, including its food, traditions, travel experiences and regional identities. By leveraging Netflix’s global reach, the initiative is expected to present India’s cultural narratives to a wider international audience.
As part of this effort, Indian cuisine is positioned as a key element of storytelling, reflecting the country’s social and cultural fabric. From everyday meals to festive dishes, food is highlighted as a way to understand traditions, community practices and regional diversity.
The partnership is intended to support tourism by increasing awareness and interest in India’s cultural experiences, while also aligning with broader efforts to position the country as a destination for immersive and experience-led travel.
