Kanika Kalra has joined Google as Director of Consumer Apps and Platforms Marketing, based in Mumbai. In this role, Kanika Kalra will lead marketing for the company’s consumer apps and platforms portfolio.
Welcoming her to the organisation, Shekhar Khosla, VP marketing at Google announced this move via a linkedin post.
Prior to this, Kalra served as Regional Marketing Director – Health, South Asia at Reckitt from April 2024 to March 2026, where Kalra led marketing for the health portfolio across the South Asia region.
Before joining Reckitt, Kalra spent over six years at McKinsey & Company between 2017 and 2024. During this period, Kalra held multiple roles including Senior Expert from December 2017 to December 2019, Associate Partner in December 2019, and Partner from December 2019 to April 2024, based in Mumbai.
Earlier, Kalra was Vice President Marketing at Snapdeal from May 2016 to December 2017. Prior to that, Kalra worked at Unilever as Global Brand Director from August 2012 to April 2016, leading core and innovation initiatives on the Fair & Lovely brand.
Kalra also held the role of Global Brand Manager at Hindustan Unilever Limited from April 2008 to July 2012 in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Before this, Kalra worked as Senior Manager at PepsiCo Foods from July 2007 to March 2008 and as Manager at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare from April 2004 to June 2007.
Kalra began Kalra’s career as an Executive at Genpact between December 2001 and May 2002.
