Pavanjit S Bedi has stepped into the role of Chief Marketing Officer – Foods at Hindustan Unilever (HUL). In his new role, he has taken charge of leading the Foods portfolio, focusing on brand strategy, product innovation, and digital marketing while driving cultural relevance and scale across categories.
He has shared the development through a LinkedIn post, announcing that he will be stepping into the CMO – Foods role at HUL.
Prior to this appointment, Bedi has spent over 22 years at Unilever across multiple global and regional leadership roles. Between September 2021 and February 2026, he held the position of Global Brand Vice President at Unilever in Mumbai. Earlier, from November 2019 to September 2021, he has been Global Brand Director – Pond’s, based in Singapore, where he has led the global innovation programme for the brand with a strong focus on South Asia, Africa, the Middle East and LATAM, along with overseeing its e-commerce and digital mandate and brand purpose initiatives.
From October 2016 to October 2019, he has served as Global Brand Director – Glow and Lovely in Mumbai, where he has led the innovation programme and played a key role in the rebranding of Fair and Lovely to Glow and Lovely. Between March 2013 and October 2016, he has been Global Brand Director – Lifebuoy, driving the brand’s purpose agenda, social mission, public-private partnerships and innovation strategy across South Asia, Africa, the Middle East and LATAM. Prior to that, from January 2010 to March 2013, he has worked as Global Brand Manager – Lifebuoy in Mumbai, delivering global innovation programmes and communication strategies.
Earlier in his career, Bedi has served as Regional Brand Manager – South Asia, Skin Cleansing from June 2007 to December 2009, working across brands such as Dove and Pears and leading innovation, mix creation and brand strategy for the region. He began his Unilever journey with ASCM from February 2004 to June 2007 in the Greater Kolkata Area, where he has been responsible for business sales delivery and managing sales infrastructure in the Kolkata Metro region.
