Gaurav Kalra Joins JSW Sports As Chief Content & Marketing Officer

Gaurav Kalra has joined JSW Sports as Chief Content & Marketing Officer. In this new role, Kalra will be responsible for shaping the brand’s content strategy, strengthening fan engagement, and building the narrative voice across platforms for one of India’s leading sports organizations.

He announced the move on LinkedIn.

He was previously Vice President – Current Affairs at JioStar from July 2022 to June 2025, where he was part of the senior editorial team shaping content for the Star Sports Network and JioHotstar.

Before that, he served as Head of Communications, Sports at Reliance Foundation from August 2020 to June 2022, leading communication strategy for grassroots and elite athlete initiatives.

Kalra was Group Editor – Sports at Network18 Media & Investments from June 2018 to August 2020, working across television and digital platforms. Earlier, he was Senior Editor at ESPN from January 2014 to May 2018.

His career also includes editorial roles at CNN-News18, Quintus/Wisden, and Trans World International. He began his career at BITV in 1996 as Assistant Producer.
