Publicis Groupe has announced the acquisition of Adopt, a fast-growing, Portland-based brand agency known for blending creativity, sport, and culture to build modern, impactful brands. Founded in 2021 by former Nike executives David Creech and Josh Moore, along with sports marketing mogul Rich Paul.
Adopt’s offerings span brand strategy, identity design, and the creation of consumer-centric products and experiences. The agency is recognised for its influential work with world-class athletes and global brands, helping drive cultural relevance and long-term consumer engagement.
“Sport is the greatest force in the world today — driving culture, commerce, connection, and community,” said Rich Paul. “The combination of talent, experience, and vision at Adopt has already proven its impact in just four years.”
Adopt will continue to operate under the leadership of Creech and Moore and will become part of Publicis Connected Media, further enhancing the Groupe’s capabilities in media, digital, data, commerce, influencer marketing, and CRM.
Creech and Moore bring over 50 years of combined experience to the table. Creech is known for his tenure at Nike, where he led brand creative efforts for major events like the Olympics and built athlete brands for legends such as Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.
Moore, a digital innovation leader, played a key role in launching initiatives like the Nike SNKRS app and the Nike Apple Watch during his time with Nike, Apple, and Google.
“Adopt is at the forefront of creativity, culture and human behaviour – blending all three to deliver customer-centric brand strategies,” said Dave Penski, Global CEO of Publicis Connected Media. “Their expertise will be instrumental for clients looking to evolve at the speed of culture.”
With this acquisition, Publicis further cements its position at the intersection of sport, creativity, and modern brand strategy.
