Eileen Ooi Becomes New CEO Of Asia Pacific Region At Omnicom Media Group’s PHD

Omnicom Media Group agency PHD has appointed Eileen Ooi as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Asia Pacific. She will be responsible for leading PHD business operations across APAC and working with clients from many of the world’s well-known brands, including Volkswagen Group, CHANEL, Diageo, and Singapore Airlines.

One of the leading media agencies under Omnicom’s media vertical- Omnicom Media Group, PHD has elevated Eileen Ooi who was associated with OMG Malaysia as CEO, has now been elevated as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for PHD’s Asia Pacific region.

In her new role, she will be responsible for leading PHD business operations across APAC and working with clients from many of the world’s well-known brands, including Volkswagen Group, CHANEL, Diageo and Singapore Airlines.

That being said, Ooi’s successor is anticipated to be announced in Q4 and until then, she will continue to serve as CEO of OMG Malaysia and will be responsible for managing the company to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing progress.

She will report directly to Tony Harradine, CEO, Omnicom Media Group, APAC, and Guy Marks, CEO, PHD Worldwide.

This appointment highlights OMG’s dedication to internal promotions and reflects her track record in building businesses through robust client relationships and a steadfast focus on growth and innovation.

As per the company, she has successfully transformed OMG Malaysia into a formidable force to be reckoned with, which is also evidenced by OMG Malaysia being named Best Performing Media Network by RECMA earlier this year, with PHD Malaysia and OMD Malaysia claiming 1 and 2 spots, respectively, in vitality.

On the back of strong new business conversions for clients including CelcomDigi, Tyson Foods, and Vinda, and impressive client retentions for HSBC, Beiersdorf, and Wipro Unza, the network also saw their strongest employee engagement scores.

She actively contributes to the broader advertising industry by participating in local and regional speaking engagements. Recently, Ooi was re-elected as President of the Malaysian Digital Association (MDA).
