Prabhat Chatterjee has been appointed as Head of Business Operations at Forbes India. Previously, he was the National Revenue Head at Network18 Media and Investments from August 2021 to July 2024.
Earlier, he served as National Revenue Head for India Today Group from May 2019 to May 2021.
Before this, he worked as Senior Director – Advertising Sales – National Head Revenue for Discovery Communications, from July 2014 to May 2019. In this role, he was handling the national ad sales responsibilities of the network. Prior to this, Chatterjee was associated with Star Middle EAST FZ LLC as Vice President – Distribution and Special Projects (Middle East, Africa, and Indian Ocean Islands), from August 2013 to July 2014. He was responsible for handling the distribution of Star Network in linear and non-linear platforms, ensuring availability, and organic and inorganic growth for the Middle East and Africa.
Prior to this, he served as the Vice President for Star TV from July 2011 to August 2013. In his role, he was heading the regional initiative for Star Jalsha and Star Jalsha Movies. Additionally, he was spearheading revenue optimisation and strategy for the Regional Cluster for Star India.
Previously, in his tenure with Star India, Chatterjee was associated with the network in different roles. He joined the network in January 2005 as Senior Manager and was regionally heading advertising sales for various channels. He was promoted to the Assistant Vice President from July 2007 to June 2011. His responsibilities included marketing and ad sales for various Star TV channels.
In his previous stint with Star India, he was the Sales Executive/Senior Sales Executive from September 1996 to May 2000. He handled the ad sales for various channels including National Geographic Channel, Star News, Star Movies, and Star Plus.
In the past, Chatterjee was also associated with BCCL where he served in two different roles. He began his journey with the company as Senior Manager in November 2001 and was responsible for heading the corporate sales of Radio Mirchi in Delhi. He was part of the key team for the launch of Radio Mirchi in Delhi. Later, he was promoted to Associate Vice President – Ad Sales – South in November 2003.
In the past, he was Assistant Manager for Indya.com from May 2000 to October 2001, in this role he drove ad revenues to the portal business through advertising for North India.
