If you are also a someone like me who doubts things like these do not happen, Congratulations! You are at the right place. I also doubted when I heard this, but when I came to know about the Government’s initiative ‘Paryatan Parv’, then I realised that it was a truth.
Yes, it is. Government is funding your travel.
Under the Paryatan Parv scheme, “Tourism Ministry will fund the travel expenses of tourists who visit 15 destinations in the country in a year and submit the photos to our website,” said Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel as quoted by Businesstoday.in. These persons are treated as brand ambassadors of Indian Tourism.
Well, I always love the world sponsor. But the problem was no one was willing to sponsor me. Finally, the Government did it.
Now all one has to do is register under this scheme and visit any 15 locations outside one’s state stipulated by Govt. in the list and upload the photographs of iconic locations.
The Union Tourism Minister also said the Sun Temple at Konark would be included in the list of ‘iconic sites’ and the Ministry of Tourism has been organising certificate programmes for candidates intending to work as tourist guides.
Why the Government Is Doing This?
All is done to promote tourism in India. The government wants to showcase the cultural diversity of the country and reinforce the principle of “Tourism for All”.
Well, as a travel freak you shouldn’t be worried why govt is doing this, but you should be worried about how to plan your travel.
So explore more this year with ‘Paryatan Parv’ initiative, and share this post with your friends, colleagues, family, and cousin who always keep asking you about backpackers hostels.
