UK Clothing Brand Enters Metaverse With Its First Ever ‘Virtual Model’

The advancement of technology has grown tremendously leaving us all spellbound. What we believed was impossible 10 years back has become a part of our day-to-day lives. Working remotely with the help of various online video chat apps. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Social media has become one of the most technologically advanced platforms that have become the base for all leading brands to promote their businesses. With the huge number of people online today, it has become easier for companies to reach their TG.

Instagram Influencers have found a very successful career path today. Brands collaborate with these influencers who have millions of followers on the platform and are able to connect with them in one go.

The concept of influencer has also evolved so much in such a short span of time. People are finding various ways to attract the masses and are making headlines with the unique approach.

However, with the growing craze into the Metaverse, it is safe to say that Virtual Influencers are the future.

PrettyLittleThing, a fashion retail brand based in the United Kingdom, has recently introduced its first-ever virtual model. They made the announcement through their Instagram handle.

According to the brand, PrettyLittleThing believes that the ‘virtual girl’, who marks the start of the label’s journey into the Metaverse, will ‘evolve’ and ‘show a range of emotions to truly react with the PLT customer.

As soon as the brand announced its first virtual model, people were quick to jump in with their opinions. Many even tried to give a name to the AI.

The post went instantly viral where people gave in their honest reactions. Many even found the whole concept needless and urged the brand to use the actual models for their brand.
