Royal Enfield is known for its unique style. Finally, much-awaited Interceptor and Continental GT 650 are ready to rule on Indian roads. Both motorcycles have the 650cc, air-cooled parallel twin engines with an oil cooler for better performance. Royal Enfield is now looking to capture a new segment after achieving success in the mid-size bike market.
Both these motorcycles were the cause of attraction at the EICMA motorcycle show in Italy’s Milan in November 2017. Royal Enfield hasn’t changed the design of The Continental GT 650 and it looks like the previous Continental 535, with some minor changes.
The Interceptor looks more like the older models of Royal Enfield and can give a good competition to many models of Harley Davidson. While other companies are providing such bikes in the range of 5 lakhs, these bikes will cost around Rs 3.5 lakhs.
Royal Enfield’s CEO and MD Siddharth Lal was present at the unveiling and he said “Both the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 will be very accessible motorcycles in India in terms of both pricing and maintenance.”
The company is aiming at 2.5 million customers in India and are thinking about launching more such models soon.
