Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios have appointed Shilpa Sharda as Head of Music, as per an update on her LinkedIn experience section.
Sharda joins the streaming platform after a nearly 13-year stint at Believe, where she most recently served as Director – Artist Services and M&A Labels, Believe India and South Asia, a role she held from March 2023 to July 2026.
During her tenure at Believe, she held several leadership positions across artist services, labels, video and trade marketing. She served as Director – Artist Services and Label (Ishtar) from December 2022 to March 2023, Director – Artist Services, India from October 2020 to December 2022, Head of Artist Services and Development from December 2018 to October 2020, and Head of Video & Trade Marketing – India from March 2018 to November 2019.
Earlier, she was Trade Marketing, Label & Video Manager from 2016 to March 2018, Label and Marketing Manager from December 2015 to December 2016, and Marketing Manager from December 2013 to December 2015.
Alongside her role at Believe, Sharda also served as India Editor at Deezer from December 2012 to April 2017, contributing to the streaming platform’s editorial operations.
Prior to Believe, she was associated with T-Series, MH1 and 24 Frames, building experience across music, television and entertainment.
In her new role as Head of Music at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios, Sharda is expected to lead the company’s music strategy, artist collaborations and soundtrack initiatives across its growing slate of films and series.
