Well, in India, it hardly matters to people whether supermarkets have toilet paper or not. But it is not the same case with Americans. They don’t know any other way than toilet paper to clean after defecating. That’s why coronavirus hit states in the USA are facing the toilet paper crisis.
People are buying toilet paper in bulk fearing that supplies would run out amid the fears of coronavirus outbreak. And it leads to the shortage of toilet paper in the market. Those who got their hands first bought the toilet paper in bulk leaving others with nothing. And it is not only the situation in the USA; countries like Australia, Japan, HongKong and New Zealand are also obsessed with toilet paper cleaning.
A pic of an elderly man grabbing tissues because there was no toilet paper left on shelves has been going viral for the last week. It was posted by a Facebook user Justine Bowers and has been shared 36k times.
Here is what the caption reads, “ This absolutely broke my heart seeing this old man grabbing tissues because there was no toilet paper left! I offered him the very few toilet rolls that I had as I couldn’t bear to see him go without! Pull your fucking head in people and stop panic buying toilet paper!!! And shame on all the people who have been buying in bulk because it’s affecting so many people who aren’t fortunate enough to do so!
A picture says a thousand words….”

Well, to tackle the toilet paper crisis, the Australian government has guided supermarkets to limit the number of toilet paper rolls a person can buy. The same measures have been adopted by the US government.
But the thing is it should not come down to Government authorities or store management. People should understand that everyone is in the same boat and purchase sensibly so that others don’t get troubled.
