The New Volvo XC60 Launched In India, Check Specifications & Price

Volvo has finally launched the all-new XC60 in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 55.9 lakh. The 2018 Volvo XC60 is based on the company’s latest Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) which is only available in 1 variant – ‘Inscription’.

Volvo has introduced this new model of XC60 for rivals like Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Jaguar F-Pace. The new Volvo XC60 is powered by a 1969 CC four-cylinder diesel engine that can produce maximum power of 233 bhp at 4,000 rpm. Many more amazing features are present in this car such as the technology to detect cyclists and pedestrians. Few other features including air suspension, front seat ventilation, four-zone climate control, and massage are also present.

On the occasion of the launch, Charles Frump, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India, said, “The XC60 is not only one of our largest selling models globally but has been received well in India too. In fact, it makes up almost a third of our total sales here. We are confident that the all-new XC60 with its segment defining features, modern Scandinavian design and luxury will prove to be an attractive proposition for customers replicating its predecessor’s success. Our commitment to launch quickly after the global launch emphasizes our intent in India.”

There are four colour options available for this car namely the white, black, silver and grey. While the Volvo XC60 is currently available with the diesel engine only in India, it is expected that the company will soon launch its petrol version too.

Volvo is planning on doubling its dealership network in the coming 2 years in India. Currently, the company has 19 dealerships across the country.
