The AI Impact Summit has brought together leaders from at least 20 countries and the United Nations in New Delhi, marking what has been described as the largest edition of the annual global AI meeting so far. The four-day summit, held from February 16 to 20, has focused on examining the risks and opportunities linked to the rapid growth of artificial intelligence.
The global gathering has been convened at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has positioned India at the centre of conversations around responsible AI development and global cooperation.
World Leaders in Attendance
Among the prominent heads of state and government who have attended are:

Ministerial delegations from more than 45 countries have also participated in the summit’s deliberations.
United Nations and Global Institutions
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has attended the summit alongside senior UN officials, including Volker Türk, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights; Amandeep Singh Gill, Under-Secretary-General and Special Envoy for Digital and Emerging Technologies; Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the IMF; and Gilbert F. Houngbo, Director-General of the ILO.
Senior representatives from UNDP, UN Women, UNESCO, UNICEF, UNFPA, FAO, WIPO and the UN Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute have also joined the discussions.
