Smarten Power Systems has appointed Ranjit Singh as its Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective August 1, 2026. The appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors during its meeting on July 14, 2026.
Singh previously served as a Consultant and Vice President (VP) of Operations at Smarten Power Systems. As COO, he will oversee the company’s operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality systems, and execution strategy, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and supporting business expansion in India and international markets.
Before taking on the new role, Singh led the transition of Smarten’s battery manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, from outsourced to in-house operations following the company’s IPO. Singh was responsible for setting up operational processes, systems, and teams for the facility. He will now oversee operations across Smarten’s existing manufacturing plants and the commissioning of its upcoming manufacturing facility.
The appointment comes as Smarten expands its manufacturing capabilities and product portfolio to meet growing demand for power backup and solar energy solutions across residential and commercial segments.
Singh has more than 52 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, product development, and operations across the power electronics, telecom power, and renewable energy sectors. Before joining Smarten, Singh held leadership positions at Vrinda Nano Technologies, Agmetal India, Delta Power Solutions India, Ascom India, Benning SMC Power Systems, Bhurji Electronics, JCT Electronics, UPTRON Powertronics, USHA Rectifier Corporation India, and Eastern Electronics.
