Marico has appointed Vikram Karwal as its Chief Marketing Officer, where he has taken charge of driving the company’s overall marketing strategy, brand building, portfolio growth and integrated consumer communication across categories. In this role, he has been responsible for strengthening Marico’s brand equity, leading innovation-led growth and aligning marketing priorities with long-term business objectives across domestic and international markets.
Karwal has shared the development on LinkedIn, confirming his move to Marico Limited and his assumption of the Chief Marketing Officer role.
Prior to joining Marico, Karwal has spent over 13 years at Mondelēz International, where he has most recently served as Senior Director – Marketing, Chocolates (Tablets Business) India from October 2021 to December 2025.
Before this, from April 2021 to October 2021, he has worked as Associate Director – Marketing ASEAN, based in Kuala Lumpur, where he has led strategy, equity, innovation and e-commerce for the biscuits and chocolates categories across ASEAN markets. Between July 2016 and March 2021, he held the role of Associate Director – Marketing Chocolates SEA, overseeing the chocolates business across Southeast Asia with responsibility for P&L, strategy and brands including Cadbury Dairy Milk and Toblerone.
Earlier in his career, Karwal has worked at Kraft Foods International as Senior Manager from November 2010 to October 2012.
Before this, he has spent over six years at Cadbury plc., holding multiple roles including Category Manager from March 2008 to October 2010, Brand Manager from May 2006 to February 2008, and Area Sales Manager from June 2004 to May 2006 across Mumbai and Pune. He began his professional journey at ConAgra Foods, where he worked as Area Sales Manager from January 2002 to May 2004 in the Greater Kolkata region.
