Getting honoured with Padma Awards is a big honour for anyone. Several prominent business leaders were honoured with Padma Awards on this Republic Day. And Prime Minister Modi didn’t take too long to congratulate all 118 awardees, among them 11 were from the business background.

Anand Mahindra who was awarded the Padma Bhushan – the third-highest civilian award in the country, expressed his thanks replying to PM’s tweet.
Mahindra tweeted, “Sir, (thanks) for recognising our Rise philosophy—trying to do well AND do good. And there’s an old saying: If you see a turtle on top of a fence, you know for sure it didn’t get there on its own! I stand on the shoulders of all Mahindraites. I will convey your compliments to them!”
