How Industrialists Came Together To Show Their Support To Fight Against Coronavirus

Sunday, 22nd March, marked the coming together of the entire country to address PM Modi’s ‘Janata Curfew’ at 5 pm IST. Millions of people came to their balconies and terraces to cling utensils, bells and much more for a few minutes. This was done to praise the efforts made by every single person for their work, for staying indoors and to prevent the spreading of the coronavirus in hopes of resuming normalcy, by the start of April hopefully.

Ever since this pandemic arrived in India, the economy had greatly suffered and the situation is ongoing until a major interstate lockdown was implemented. We don’t know what the future has to hold but we are surely hopeful of things getting better. Companies are doing their part in providing work from home opportunities and revising safety measures for all employees, while everyone ensures that sanitary methods are opted for. So what did the country do during the Janata Curfew?

Many Indian Billionaires also contributed their part by keeping solidarity with the Prime Minister’s Curfew. It also included Bollywood celebrities, influencers and the common man.

Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Group of Industries

Mukesh Ambani has lost a lot in the past few weeks due to the coronavirus epidemic. However, he keeps everyone’s hopes alive by ringing a bell on Sunday amidst family members and staff. He stood at his $1 billion home Antilla’s terrace to do so.

Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Biocon

The richest woman in India, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, was obviously a part of the Janata Curfew. She rang a bell to show solidarity and also took to Twitter to share her opinion on the coronavirus.

Anand Mahindra, Mahindra & Mahindra

Anand Mahindra has been a constant voice during the coronavirus epidemic implementing various safety measures in his own companies and also urging the government to provide more ventilators. According to certain reports by epidemiologists, he claims that the country has already reached stage 3 of the novel coronavirus.

Anil Aggarwal

Anil Agarwal from the Vedanta group joined Billionaires Jack Ma and Bill Gates in donating for Coronavirus prevention. He pledged ₹100 crore towards fighting the pandemic. “Many people are facing uncertainty and I’m especially concerned about the daily wage earners, we will do our bit to help,” he tweeted.
