Sunday, 22nd March, marked the coming together of the entire country to address PM Modi’s ‘Janata Curfew’ at 5 pm IST. Millions of people came to their balconies and terraces to cling utensils, bells and much more for a few minutes. This was done to praise the efforts made by every single person for their work, for staying indoors and to prevent the spreading of the coronavirus in hopes of resuming normalcy, by the start of April hopefully.
Ever since this pandemic arrived in India, the economy had greatly suffered and the situation is ongoing until a major interstate lockdown was implemented. We don’t know what the future has to hold but we are surely hopeful of things getting better. Companies are doing their part in providing work from home opportunities and revising safety measures for all employees, while everyone ensures that sanitary methods are opted for. So what did the country do during the Janata Curfew?
Many Indian Billionaires also contributed their part by keeping solidarity with the Prime Minister’s Curfew. It also included Bollywood celebrities, influencers and the common man.
